Soldier sends Father's Day message home to family in Birmingham ...

A Birmingham soldier and father is sending his love to his family from thousands of miles away.
Cpl. Roderick Herbert sent Father's Day greetings to his family in Birmingham via the Pentagon's video network, DVIDS. Herbert is serving in Afghanistan.

"Sorry I couldn't be home for Father's Day," he said. "And I love you and miss you guys."
